Lucas County Board of MR/DD - Resource Utilization Project
The Lucas County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (LCBMR/DD) had interest in better understanding
projected resource needs so as to better plan resource allocations over the next several years. BGSU faculty member, Dr. Erin
Curran, Leadership & Policy Studies and Institute Associate Director, Dr. Mary Murray developed a demographic profile of current
LCBMR/DD consumers (Phase 1). The information collected was used by Institute staff to conduct a trend analysis, observing
recent and prospective trends in general and LCBMR/DD consumer populations (Phase 2). Finally, a set of recommendations concerning
LCBMR/DD's resource allocations over the next ten years were developed (Phase 3).
