- SMRT Division Distinguished Teaching Professor Emeritus, Dr. Mary Ann Roberton, has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) for her exemplary career as a research, physical education teacher, and administrator.
- SMRT Division faculty member, Dr. Amanda Paule-Koba, is cited in an article by the Chronicle of Higher Education on the NCAA’s use and profit of athletes’ images and likenesses.
- SMRT Division faculty member, Dr. Lucy Long, is interviewed about her music documentary, and the story appears in the Wood County Historical Society's quarterly newsletter, "The Black Swamp Chanticleer" (see page 4).
- SMRT Division Distinguished Teaching Professor Emeritus, Dr. Janet Parks, celebrates the history of women’s sports at BGSU.
