Link to Application- Groups(word)

Description of Fund
The Diversity Enhancement Fund was established by the donor to support professional development activities for students, faculty, and staff of the Division of Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA), which will develop competencies that will enhance their effectiveness in working with increasingly diverse constituencies.

Terms
Funds to benefit individuals may be allocated in support of educational materials, research, travel, workshop or conference participation and other professional development activities designed to enhance the multicultural appreciation or diversity competencies of individual students and faculty members within the HESA. However, each project must include a dissemination component. That is, the individual must specify how the knowledge or insight he or she gained as a result of the funded activity will be shared with other members of the HESA learning community for the purposes of enhancing their abilities to work effectively with diverse populations in higher education.

How to Apply
Each request for funding to benefit an individual/group should include the following:
• A statement regarding the need for the project and an outline of its goals and objectives, specifically as they relate to diversity enhancement on the part of the individual submitting the request and the HESA learning community or subgroups within it (e.g., HESA faculty, internship supervisors, students in general, students in specific programs or classes).
• A description of the project, the ways in which the individual will be involved, when and where it will occur, the ways in which learning outcomes will be shared with others, and so forth.
• A budget, outlining project costs and the amount requested from the Diversity Enhancement Fund.
• A summary of dissemination, evaluation, and reporting procedures. At a minimum, individual recipients of the Diversity Enhancement Fund must submit a final report in writing to the Chair of HESA. This report should include an after-the-fact description of the professional development activity, assessment information regarding the extent to which the HESA learning community, and a summary of project expenditures.
