Interior Design General Information

The Interior Design program at BGSU incorporates an Interior Design core curriculum of studio and lecture courses and provides a unique opportunity for students to take courses in collaboration with the School of Art, College of Technology and College of Education and Human Development. The degree program is structured to provide students with the knowledge and eligibility to take the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification Exam). The Interior Design program is located in the School of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Work co-ops in Interior Design are part of the graduation component providing students with real-world work experiences. Interior Design co-ops are facilitated through the BGSU Career Center.


Enrollment

Approximately 30 students are enrolled as Interior Design majors each year. Admission to the program is contingent upon admission to Bowling Green State University. Click here to access the BGSU Office of Admissions online application

Advising

Faculty and professional advisors are committed to helping our students succeed. Faculty members within the Interior Design Program and from the College of Education and Human Development’s Undergraduate Student Services Office work closely with students to help them achieve their personal and professional goals.

Facilities

The Interior Design program is housed in a 5,000-square foot facility located in McDonald North. The Computer Aided Design (CAD) course is taught in the College of Education and Human Development’s state-of-the-art computer lab.
