WHAT IF I BECOME ILL AND CANNOT FINISH THE SEMESTER?

You need to go to the College office (EDU 365).  Depending on the illness, documentation and each individual case, you can be withdrawn from your classes without affecting your grades.  If you experience a situation like this, the specific person to contact is Janet Hammersmith (372-7289 - jhammer@bgsu.edu).

HOW CAN I CHANGE MY SCHEDULE AFTER THE SEMESTER HAS STARTED?

During the first week of class you can alter your schedule on MyBGSU.  You may add or drop classes and as long as you stay between 12 and 18 hours the cost is the same.  However, be aware of your course plan so you don’t drop a class that may be a prerequisite for future semesters.

HOW CAN I WITHDRAW FROM A COURSE? (1st WEEK & BEYOND)

Following the first week of class, you can obtain a withdrawal slip that must be signed by both the professor and the College allowing you to drop the course.  Again, be aware of the amount of hours that you’re carrying as to ensure that it remains at or above 12.
