Paul D. Coverdell Peace Corps Fellows Program

The Paul D. Coverdell Peace Corps Fellows Program (USA) is a graduate fellowship program that offers financial assistance to returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) who wish to earn a degree in the Master's of Arts in Cross-Cultural and International Education (MACIE) program. MACIE became a Peace Corps Fellows program in the summer of 2008. As a Coverdell program, MACIE builds upon RPCVs’ practical international experience and provides the opportunity to fulfill the third goal of the Peace Corps, which is to bring the knowledge and skills learned overseas to an internship experience within a community in the United States. 

In November 2012, the Coverdell Peace Corps Program approved five new Coverdell Programs for Bowling Green State University in Food and Nutrition, Public Administration, Business, American Studies, and Spanish. Please inquire to those departments about Fall 2013 applications. 

If you are current Peace Corps volunteer who will complete service before the next academic year, or you are a returned volunteer, your regular application to MACIE also serves as your application to be a Coverdell Fellow. There is no extra application.
