Educational Administration and Supervision
Course of Study
Candidates for the degree of Master in Education in Educational Administration and Supervision must complete a minimum of 33 semester hours of graduate coursework and experiences. At this time, the 33 semester hours must be distributed over the following 3 credit hour courses:
- EDAS 6210 Introduction to Organizational Leadership and Change
- EDAS 6220 The Contemporary Principal in a Technological Society
- EDAS 6230 Law, Ethics and Negotiations in School Administration
- EDAS 6240 Fiscal Management and Resource Allocation
- EDAS 6240 School Culture, Instructional Program, & Professional Staff
- EDAS 6300 Leadership Practicum/Internship I
- EDAS 7210 Information Management, Evaluation & Student Personnel
- EDFI 6410 Statistics in Education
- EDFI 6420 Research in Education
- EDFI 6710 Human Growth and Development
- EDTL 6110 The Curriculum
Students are required to take and pass a comprehensive exam at the end of the Master in Education program. Students should fill out this application in the first week of their last semester of coursework
Students pursuing licensure as an administrator in Ohio will be expected to complete 12 additional semester hours to meet ODE licensure requirements. The four additional 3 credit hour courses are:
- EDAS 7220 Diversity of School Communication and Political Dynamics
- EDAS 7300 Leadership Practicum/Internship II
- EDTL 7100 Curriculum and Instructional Design
- EDFI 6000 Philosophy of Education
or - EDFI 6010 Comparative Education
or - EDFI 6020 History of Education
