Research Interests: In brief I am interested in supervision and development of school counselors. In particular I am interested in furthering the findings of Skovholt and Ronnestad (1993) with counselors and psychologist to understand the development of school counselors into seminal practitioners in the field. What are the factors that lead to great school counselors as well as what factors create an identity of a counselor in an educational setting, with all the skills and theory of a opposed to an educator in an educational setting. To this ends I am interested in the efficacy of school counselors on campus, including how school counselors can lend their skills to creating rigorous and relevant curriculum that threads together social and emotional needs along side the academic needs of schools.
