  • Midwest Education Reform Consortium GEAR-UP Learning Centers - $14,750,000 multistate, multiuniversity grant proposal to the US Department of Education "Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for University Programs" competition, June, 2000. Co-Principal Investigator on BGSU/Ohio component, $4,700,000.  Awarded September, 2000.
  • Learning in Context and Community - $7,500,000 grant proposal to US Department of Education Title II "Partnership Grant for Improving Teacher Quality" competition, August, 2000.  Member of interdisciplinary writing and leadership team.  Awarded $4,200,000 September, 2000
