Is there Life After Philosophy at BGSU?
What happens to people with an undergraduate degree in philosophy? It's a question often asked by students considering a
philosophy major or minor. To help us to answer it, and also because we are curious too, we encourage our former students
to keep in touch with us and let us know what they have done since their departure from Bowling Green.
Below is a list of some of our former undergraduates, with a little about what they have done, plan to do, or are doing now.

- Vishvini Sakthivel: Careers Advisor at Owens Community College until she departs for West Africa in June 2008 to work with the Peace Corps.
Plans to attend Law School on her return to the USA.

- Bradley Showman: Volunteer with City Year literacy tutoring program for underprivileged children in Boston, Mass. Plans to enter a graduate
program in Political Philosophy in Fall 2008.

- Jennifer Swindell (nee Sproul): After graduating from BGSU with a minor in philosophy in 2002, went on to complete a PhD in philosophy at Michigan State
University (May 2008). In Fall 2008, took up position as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Medical Ethics with the Center
for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. See her web page here.
- Levente Szentkirályi: Pursuing a Doctoral degree at the University of Connecticutt-Storrs.
