College of Arts and Sciences

The College established an Arts & Sciences ADVOCATES group in Spring 2001, made up of distinguished alumni and friends. This dynamic group agreed to serve the College in its continual quest for excellence by:

• Sharing information about the quality of our program and the accomplishments of our students, faculty, and alumni with those beyond the university community;
• Increasing a sense of pride, loyalty and connectedness to the College among alumni, friends, and members of the public;
• Encouraging alumni and friends to contribute time, talent, and/or funds to support the College, its program, and - most importantly - its students.

Membership on the ADVOCATES is a three-year term and a member will serve no more than two consecutive terms. Meetings are held three times per year on campus with additional opportunities to participate in cultural and social functions of the College.
