Extracurricular programming is an integral part of the Global Village experience. Participation in a certain number (TBA for
2008-2009) of programs is required through Global Village Field Experience class.
During the 2007-2008 year, we have had at least one program per week and trips to Chicago, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
and Hard Rock Café in Cleveland, the Toledo Zoo, various sites in Ann Arbor, and the Halloween Fun Fest at the Wood Country
Historical Society & Museum.
Talk to the Resident Assistant and Graduate Assistant, who are responsible for coordinating Global Village programs to recommend
future trips and programs!

The “A Glimpse into Cultures” series:
“A Glimpse into Cultures” is a program series sponsored by Global Village in collaboration with varying BGSU organizations
and community members that seeks to introduce Global Village residents and other campus constituencies to cultures and countries
outside of the USA.
Program format differs with each execution, but has included dinners, cooking instruction, movie showings, dance lessons,
lectures and presentations, and arts activities. Past programs have highlighted Costa Rica, Mali, England, Ghana, India, and
Mexico.
Through participation in "A Glimpse into Cultures", presenters and collaborators have the opportunity to share their knowledge
about different cultures, provide global education opportunities to the BGSU campus, and to celebrate their cultures.
