Project: Educational and Mental Health Needs and Resources of Wood County, Ohio
First and second year Chapman students will engage in a community assessment project to learn about the mental health, educational
needs and resources of the youth and elderly members of the Wood County community. To the degree possible, students will engage
in the following activities: volunteering, interacting with program participants, strategic planners, program staff, administrators,
teachers, parents, and other community members through focus groups and other outreach activities. The hope is that as students
you can help identify and design innovative and exciting ways to serve the community, while learning about the socioeconomic,
psychological, and cultural factors that influence the mental health, educational needs and resources of the Wood County community.
