MAIN CAMPUS TEACHING BY FIRELANDS
FACULTY
Requests Initiated by a Main Campus Department
- The main campus department chair will contact the appropriate
Firelands
College department chair and request the services of the
designated Firelands College faculty member. Included in the
request will be a rationale outlining the reasons for the
request.
- The Firelands College department chair will notify the
designated Firelands College faculty member and ascertain whether
or not the Firelands College faculty member is interested in
teaching at main campus.
- If the Firelands College faculty member is interested in
teaching at main campus, the Firelands College department chair
will notify the Firelands College Dean of the request.
- The Firelands College Dean, in consultation with the Firelands
College department chair and the Firelands College faculty member,
will analyze the impact such a request might have upon Firelands
College. If it is determined that the request will not have an
adverse effect upon Firelands College, the Firelands College Dean
will approve the request.
- The Firelands College department chair will notify the
Firelands College faculty member and the main campus department
chair of the decision.
Requests Initiated by a Firelands College Faculty Member
- The Firelands College faculty member will notify the
appropriate Firelands College department chair of his/her desire
to teach at main campus.
- The Firelands College chair will notify the Firelands College
Dean. Together they, in consultation with the Firelands College
faculty member, will analyze the impact such a desire might have
upon Firelands College. If they determine that the desire will not
have an adverse effect upon Firelands College, the Firelands
College chair and Dean will support the initiative of the
Firelands College faculty member.
- The Firelands College faculty member will contact the
appropriate main campus department chair and negotiate an
opportunity to teach at main campus.
- The main campus department chair will contact the appropriate
Firelands College department chair and request the services of the
designated Firelands College faculty member. Included int he
request will be a rationale outlining the reasons for the
request.
- The Firelands College department chair will notify the
Firelands College Dean of the main campus request.
- The Firelands College department chair will notify the
Firelands College faculty member and the main campus department
chair that the request is approved.
If the request is made more than one academic year after the
initial support for the initiative, the Dean may review the request
in order to reaffirm that it will not have an adverse effect upon
Firelands College. Such a review would include input from the
Firelands College chair and the Firelands College faculty member.
