PHOTO ID CARDS

All ID cards are processed in the Photo ID Office located in the Bursar's Office.

New part-time faculty members may obtain an ID card as soon as their contract has been processed by Human Resources. The first ID card will carry an expiration date. Subsequent cards must be updated using a small sticker obtained from the Photo ID Office whenever the faculty member is re-employed (take a copy of your contract with you to the Photo ID Office when getting a renewal sticker).

New faculty members may obtain an ID card as soon as Human Resources has processed their contract. Check with them to see if the work has been completed (or you may check to see if the new faculty member is in the system) before sending a faculty member to the Photo ID Office. New temporary and terminal faculty members' ID cards will be prepared with an expiration date, and they will need to obtain a new sticker each year in the same manner as the part-time faculty do.

Adjunct faculty members who wish to have a photo ID should complete the Data for Identification Card form and send it to Human Resources so that an identification number and computer record can be established for them. A couple of days after the form has been sent, they may then go to the Photo ID office for a card.

Visiting faculty. Visiting scholars who need library privileges may use their home institution's library card or may obtain a library Courtesy Card at the Circulation Desk. If any Visiting Faculty member does not have a library card from a home institution, contact Mary Beth Zachary, Head of Access Services, to make special arrangements. Alternatively, forward a memo to the Dean introducing the visitor and describing the library need. Once endorsed, the request will be forwarded to Human Resources where an ID card will be extended.
