What happens when a doctor who has "made it" in Montréal chooses to move temporarily to northern Québec in order to get some distance on her life? Bernard Emond's film explores an urban character's immersion in the rural North as a way to give insight into Québec of "post" - Révolution Tranquille.  As Emond notes in an interview with Canadian "National Post:"  "I am a cultural Catholic [...] the cultural heritage is important to me, but not the dogma..." [Chris Knight, Sept. 2009].  Emond's film reflects contemporary Québec's transformation into a society that identifies itself as secular and modern while still being marked by its Catholic heritage.
