While many things have changed in the past 100 years at Bowling Green State University, our mission remains the same: to increase the quality of the educational experience for our students. In fact, BGSU's highest priority is to open the doors to higher education for more students than ever. Historically, our students come from modest backgrounds: nearly 40 percent represent the first generation of their family to attend college and more than 50 percent work while they pursue their degree.
