One of my favorite things about the AV is everyone is so accepting of each other and you gain a solid base of friends in a school of 20,000 which helps you transition to the college life. "The Arts Village is my favorite thing about BG. I've been a part of other organizations and learning communities before but none of them felt so much like a family (in a good way). It's great to be able to live and work with so many people who are all so different- in religion, in majors, in lifestyles- and yet just about everybody cares about each other and what we do here. I love being able to learn about and participate in things I wouldn't have the chance to anywhere else- like being part of a Japanese drumming group, making plaster casts of people, and listening to world class performers. You can't go wrong by getting involved."
