As someone who has lived in two dorms, I can tell you without hesitation that the Arts Village is unlike anyplace else on campus. I was here for a week before I found a home away from home. Everyone here is equally inviting and the environment is extremely inspirational. – Peter Barlow

I'm coming back because it's so much fun! You get a small community of people to hang with who are so open-minded and creative, as well as the social gatherings and the tickets to plays and shows! I love it to death, and while I may complain about having to take a class or two, I'm gonna miss it when I can't be in it anymore. – Kathryn Kosey

Some of the reasons I am returning to the Arts Village [are] because the program is truly amazing. I'm not a typical artist but the creativity that passes between the people and the friends you make isn't easy to find anywhere else. People in the AV generally have…similar beliefs and values and even if they don't know one bumps heads over it. Gordon [Ricketts, Director of Arts Village] is also a big reason. He's really a great guy who tries his hardest to make sure we have some sort of guidance and works hard to show us all sides of the art world. I'm not the best at describing things, but picture yourself, if you're even remotely interested in any field of art, surrounded by people with the same interest who genuinely want to help you advance. For these reasons and so many more I am returning to the Arts Village next year, and I am truly excited to be doing so. – Anne Lawson
