Amy Shore, Senior Vice President, Nationwide Insurance
Amy Shore, ’86, CPCU, CLU, is the Senior Vice President, Field Operations, for Nationwide Insurance. Amy leads the field operations for Nationwide’s property and casualty organization. She is accountable for the growth and profitability of the brand across a $7.6B portfolio of personal and commercial insurance products. Nationwide is a Fortune 100 financial services company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
Amy has 26 years of experience in the P&C industry, including 15 years in varying leadership positions across Nationwide. She has a breadth of leadership experience in a variety of business functions including sales, underwriting, product/pricing, customer service and general management. Her current team includes eight regional vice presidents, and two staff vice presidents that lead 1500 associates and 3500 agents.
One of Amy’s passion is helping others, especially women, be successful in achieving their goals. In 2011, she was honored as one of Ohio’s most powerful and influential women by the Ohio Diversity Council.
Amy earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University in 1986 graduating summa cum laude. While at the college of business, she was active in the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society and served as president of the APICS student organization. Amy is the first person in her family to graduate from college in part due to the financial support/scholarships she received from BGSU.

Betty Montgomery ‘70
Betty D. Montgomery, Attorney, Mac Murray, Petersen & Shuster; Founder, Montgomery Consulting Group
Betty Montgomery ’70 is Ohio’s former and first female Attorney General and State Auditor. Betty is a 1970 graduate of BGSU and began her long public service career as the Wood County Prosecutor. She later served as an Ohio state senator from the 2nd District before being elected to two of Ohio’s top positions as the first female.
Betty currently is an attorney with the firm of Mac Murray, Petersen & Shuster, in Columbus, Ohio, and is the founder of Montgomery Consulting Group which advises companies on their regulatory responsibilities. She is also a BGSU Board of Trustees member.
