Intro to Leadership

Description: Here at Bowling Green, we are striving to prepare students for leadership in a global society. In addition, employers are looking for demonstrated leadership and team development experiences. This workshop will provide an overview and introduction of leadership development opportunities at Bowling Green. In addition, the Center for Leadership offers the BGSU Leadership Certificate Program (LCP), a guide for BGSU students to advance and demonstrate their leadership and team experiences. This workshop will introduce participants to the benefits of the LCP and the program requirements.

Student Organization Transition Retreat

Description: Creating useful and effective transition materials for your new executive board and members is time-consuming and difficult. We all know it needs to happen, but can rarely find the time to make it happen by the end of the school year.  The SLAs want to provide this space and support you and your organization’s executive board with your transition into the 2016 – 17 school year. We will guide you through useful tips and content to include, while allowing your group to work individually or as a group.

iSTAND Advocacy Training

Description: In our society we are surrounded with language and behavior that has developed through a history of stereotypes and prejudices. The iSTAND Advocacy Training program was created by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Center for Leadership to help teach participants practical skills for addressing micro aggressions in our society and to stand up and advocate for others.
