iStand

In our society we are surrounded with language and behavior that has developed through a history of stereotypes and prejudices. Following the creation of Not In Our Town, the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Center for Leadership created the iSTAND Advocacy training program.  iSTAND teaches participants practical skills for addressing micro aggressions in our society and to stand up and advocate for others. From 2013 – 2016 over 600 BGSU faculty, staff, and faculty have completed the iSTAND presentation!

The Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Center for Leadership are currently working to update and enhance the iSTAND curriculum. We are currently not offering iSTAND; however, you can request the Student Leadership Assistants to facilitate discussions around inclusive leadership by clicking here.
