During our interview, Prakas Itarut, a computer engineering major and member of the summer 2001 session, chose to focus on his response to a task that is introduced to students early in the semester, one that is entitled "A History of 'this' Space."
Inspired by the dearth of information on composition students’ lived experience, the task provides students with the opportunity to tell others something about who they were, what they did, what they valued, etc. at a specific point in their college careers. The history is, by far, the task that provides students with the fewest parameters, and this tends to generate a lot of anxiety.
