Career
services provides educational and career counseling
and information to students and alumni. A wide
variety of career-related print and electronic
materials can be found in the career services
office. Additionally, career services offers
two computer-administered career interest inventories:
the Strong Interest Inventory, which can be
taken in the career services office, and FOCUS,
which is available in the Library and Learning
Resources Center. Career Planning and Job Search
courses are offered each semester.
Career
services offers job search assistance, résumé
review, and résumé writing assistance
and information on effective interviewing for
students and alumni. The office also offers
résumé referrals, sponsors job
fairs each spring, and maintains an active database
of job openings.
On-campus
student employment is coordinated by this office,
as is the administration of the College Level
Examination Program (CLEP).
