Students wishing to "major" in journalism should see the Bachelor of Science in Journalism degree requirements.
- JOUR 1000, 2000, 2500, 4000, 4500
- One additional skills course (such as editing, photography, broadcast news reporting, public relations writing).
- Two journalism concept courses (such as media and society, perspectives on international media, and principles of public relations).
Interdepartmental
minor limited to BS in Journalism
The
Department of Journalism and Public Relations
Undergraduate Program Committee must approve
this minor. The student, in consultation with
an advisor, chooses courses from at least two
departments that focus on a particular subject.
The interdepartmental minor must include at
least 20 credits, with a minimum of 12 credits
at the 3000 or 4000 level. An interdepartmental
minor may not include any courses being used
for group requirements.
