Mission

The Department of Marketing faculty holds that our primary responsibility as educators is to provide the building blocks for life long learning. We believe this should take place within a framework of social responsibility and with a global perspective.

The mission of the Department of Marketing is to educate students and professionals in the field of marketing in support of the academic missions of the College of Business Administration and the University. In this regard, we are committed to the following:

  • To design and deliver academic programs in marketing that develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success in business and society.
  • To expand and disseminate knowledge and ideas that promote excellence in marketing thought and practice.
  • To provide meaningful professional service to the marketing discipline, the business community, as well as to the College and University.

We will continue to establish specific goals and objectives consistent with this mission. We also will strive to continuously improve the level of our performance as reflected in those goals.
