Karen Eboch, CSCP
Position: Instructor/Senior Lecturer
Address: 3020 Business Administration
Supply chain management and organizational behavior are Ms. Eboch’s areas of expertise. She is currently working on applied learning through service learning and interactive exercises and cases for use in the introductory business classes.
The key experience she brings to the classroom is ten years of retail management and numerous consulting projects in manufacturing. Her reasoning for becoming a college instructor is, in her words -“To help others find their passion and path . . . and because I could never sit behind a desk all day!”
The professional achievements she is proudest of are receiving the 2008 APICS Student Chapter Advisor of the Year award and the BGSU student chapter being awarded the Platinum Award in 2010.
“Ecological Intelligence: The Hidden Impacts of What We Buy” by Daniel Goleman is the book she recommends that all business students read because it helps us “to think about the impact each of us has on the environment as a result of our daily transactions, as well as our potential to influence business to become more proactive in their choices.”
The most interesting place Ms. Eboch has visited is Italy, “where I traveled with ten supply chain management students over spring break 2010. Although we toured numerous cultural and supply chain locations—even getting stuck overnight in our van during a heavy snow after a winery tour in Tuscany—we just scratched the surface of what we could learn!”
