Business students at BGSU have direct access to a powerful financial tool with the opening of the new Business Research & Finance Trading Lab located in BAA 2004. The Bloomberg information system collects extensive current and historical financial information which gives students unique information to develop their up-to-date investment management skills for their finance classes.
Not only will this new lab benefit students specializing in finance, but the Bloomberg information system also gives important information for other business disciplines. Management students can analyze the supply chains of companies, while economics students can analyze economics statistics from around the world. Accounting students can access company filings and financial information and marketing students can gain access to company presentations and news regarding company marketing strategies. Real world data on an extensive number of variables can be accessed by statistics students.
In order to access the computers, students will need to open a Bloomberg account. Contact Dr. Dan Klein, finance, at firstname.lastname@example.org to create your account.
This Business Research & Finance Trading Lab is another unique opportunity students have at BGSU that not every business college offers. Go check it out!
