Liuling Liu, assistant professor of finance, joined BGSU in August 2013. Dr. Liu obtained a Ph.D. in finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a M.S. in Actuarial Science from the University of Kent (U.K.). She served as a visiting scholar at the Stern School of Business of New York University from 2011-2012.

Before joining BGSU, she taught graduate and undergraduate finance courses at the Schools of Business of Fordham University. Dr. Liu's research interests are in the areas of financial institution, corporate finance, and emerging markets. She has presented her research at several international and national conferences. Her recent paper about bank regulation was presented at several Central Banks, including the Central Bank of Finland, the Central Bank of Serbia, and the Central Bank of Turkey.
