Apple iCal - Mac:

  • From within iCal, choose "Subscribe" from the "Calendar" menu at the top of your screen.
  • Enter the full URL (listed above) in the "Subscribe to:" box and click "Subscribe".
  • iCal will then download the calendar and bring you to a screen which allows you to give a title to that calendar. Check the "Refresh:" checkbox and select "every day" which will instruct iCal to check for updates to the calendar on a daily basis.
  • That's it. Your new calendar will appear, and you can choose to show or hide it by selecting or deselecting the calendar's title in the "Calendars" screen.

Apple iPhone

  • On the iPhone go to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calanders -> Add Account -> Other -> Add Subscribed Calendar.
  • Enter the full URL listed above to the Server field. It may be easier to email yourself the the link to copy and paste on the iPhone.
  • Click Save after the calendar has been downloaded.
  • You can choose to show or hide the calendar by selecting or deselecting the calendar's title in the "Calendars" screen.

Microsoft Outlook 2007/2010 - Windows:

  • Download the iCal file.
  • In Outlook go to File -> Import and Export.
  • Choose Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file (.vcs).
  • Navigate to the saved ics file.
  • You will be prompted to save as a new calendar (Open as New) or import it into your default Outlook calendar (select Import).
  • You will need to periodically re-download the calendar to receive any changes made to the events calendar, especially at the beginning of each semester.

Google Calendar/Android

  • Download the iCal file.
  • Go to http://www.google.com/calendar and sign in. If you do not have a Google Account create one.
  • Under "My Calendars" select "Create New Calendar" . Name the calendar as "BGSU College of Business Events" and click Create Calendar.
  • Under "Other Calendars", click "Import Calendar."
  • In the popup window, navigate to the saved iCal file.
  • Select the "BGSU College of Business Events" calendar from the drop down list as the place to import the calendar.
  • You will need to periodically re-download the calendar to receive any changes made to the events calendar, especially at the beginning of each semester.
