Students Without Prerequisites

This schedule is typical for students who lack a strong background in economics or calculus.  The first semester’s elective will generally take the form of an independent study or intermediate level micro and/or macro.  At least one elective must be at the 6000 level, and students may wish to take some summer electives.  With this schedule, the comprehensive exam will typically be taken in November of the second year.  Students may elect to write a thesis by taking up to two of their electives as thesis credits.
