Dean's Golf Workshop
Want to learn to play golf or improve your game? Business networking is often times conducted on a golf course and it’s to your advantage to be able to play golf well as you launch your business career. Here’s a chance to take FREE lessons and learn the game or learn how to lower your handicap if you already know how to play.
Sign up for the Dean’s Golf Workshop takes place during the spring for fall semester. The sessions are held at the BGSU Forrest Creason Golf Course and consist of four two-hour lessons, along with a 9-hole practice round and a 9-hole scramble golf outing and cookout.
Due to the facilities, the Dean’s Golf Workshop is limited to 24 students from the College of Business. Students will need to have at least a 2.75 GPA to sign up. Preference will be given to new golfers and by class seniority.
Lessons are taught by Kurt Thomas, director of golf. Lesson dates and topics for fall 2014 include the following:
August 26 - Putting
September 2 - Swing
September 9 - Swing
September 16 - Swing
September 23 - 9-hole Practice Round
Sunday, September 28 - Golf Outing
Participating students will receive complimentary golf items and College of Business apparel.
