CBA Rewards Point Program

We reward students for engaging with the College of Business! Students earn cool College apparel or gear by attending certain College of Business events and by participating in qualified College activities. There's no enrollment for the program. All College of Business students are automatically eligible. Here’s how it works…..Students go to the event or participate in the activity and swipe their BGSU ID card. Students will receive an automatic email confirmation of attendance for each event and watch their points accumulate.

This spring you have even more opportunities to attend events and participate in activities than before.  We had more than 60 students reach the top prize, earning the brown neoprene College of Business jacket, exclusive to the CBA Rewards Point Program. These top point getters loved their jackets! Here’s what two students had to say ….

Here’s what’s new for spring semester:

  • College of Business graduate students are also eligible for this points program.
  • We’ve added new activities, including being listed on the Dean’s List. If you were on the Dean’s List for fall, we will be giving you CBA Rewards points in the spring.  Not on the fall list? Then strive to be on the spring list and we will give you the points next fall.
  • A Leaderboard…We know students have a competitive spirit, so we will be posting the Top 10 students by points on signs around the College and on the College’s website.  By participating in this program, you give us permission to list you.  We will be tracking the points and letting you know who the top contenders are.  Be one of the top 3 in total points at the end of spring semester and you get to have a gourmet dinner at the dean’s house.

Who is in the lead this week for a gourmet dinner cooked by the dean?

The top three point earners at the end of the semester will be invited to the dean's home for dinner!

  • James Jacobs (1325 pts)
  • Zavia Currie (1275 pts)
  • Angela Lucarelli (1150 pts)
  • Carly Roden (1150 pts)
  • Rebecca Hartman (1100 pts)
  • Dehbia Messaoudene (1100 pts)
  • James Piazza (1100 pts)
  • Shannon Jordan (1000 pts)
  • Shelbi Heydinger (975 pts)
  • Jesus Luevano (975 pts)

*Points recorded as of 4/23/14.

What Are the Prize Levels for Spring Semester?

By accumulating at least 750 points, you have your choice between 2 prizes! Since the brown neoprene jacket was so popular, we will keep it as one of two top prizes you can earn.

Already earned the jacket? Then you can choose this great Under Armour backpack with the College of Business logo.

3 Levels of Prizes

750+ points – Brown neoprene jacket or a cool backpack

675-725 points – yoga pants/sweatpants or a crew neck sweatshirt

Recruit a prospective student to BGSU (2 per semester)

Have you seen the “Admitted” and “Committed” orange boards in the middle hallway on the second floor?  You probably know someone from your high school or home town who has applied to the CBA.  Contact these students via email, text or Facebook and let them know the benefits of being in the CBA and encourage them to commit to BGSU.  You might even send them a picture of their Award Certificate posted on the board.  Then, bring evidence of your contact into the Undergraduate Student Development Office (BA 253) and you will receive 50 CBA Rewards points.  Although you are welcome to contact everyone you know with a posted certificate, there is a maximum of 100 points earned with this project.  Thanks for doing your part in recruiting our Fall 2014 class!

Checking Your Point Totals

To check on the status of how many points you are earning, go to the BGSU College of Business website and click on “College Portal.” Sign in with your BGSU authentication and choose “My CBA Rewards” to see the number of accumulated points. Your points will be tabulated through the last day of regular classes.

Remember to bring your BGSU ID to every event and be sure to swipe it to earn your points. Keep checking on your CBA account to make sure the points are up to date.

How to Claim Your Prize

For those eligible for a prize, you will be notified by email at the end of spring semester asking you to choose the prize you earned and the size you need, if applicable. Pick up will be during the first week of fall semester classes or over the summer if you are close by. May graduating seniors can make other arrangements. (More details on prize pick up will be available later.)
