Faculty member Dr. Dwayne Gremler named Distinguished Teaching Professor

Internationally renowned for his services marketing expertise and recognized as an Outstanding Marketing Teacher by the Academy of Marketing Science and a Master Teacher by the Marketing Management Association, Dr. Dwayne Gremler, a Fulbright Scholar, has added more to his list of honors. Dr. Gremler, Professor of Marketing, was designated by the BGSU Board of Trustees as a Distinguished Teaching Professor, the highest honor bestowed upon a current faculty member. 

Dr. Gremler also received the highest award presented in the field of services marketing, the Christopher Lovelock Career Contributions Award, given annually by the American Marketing Association’s Services Marketing Special Interest Group (SERVSIG).

In addition, the marketing professor was presented the College of Business Leadership Council’s Excellence in Teaching Award presented last spring. This award is presented to one faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in engaging students, motivating students to achieve high intellectual scholarship and using unique and effective teaching techniques.

This year, Dr. Gremler is traveling abroad to share his world-renowned expertise and highly successful research experience while on a faculty improvement leave. He is assisting Ph.D. students and new assistant professors to consider issues relating to the publishing of relevant and rigorous scholarly research in business journals.
