Internships are strongly encouraged as part of the business education at BGSU and our faculty and staff assist and support students in this experiential learning component. Dr. Amelia Carr, Chair of the management department, traveled to Moline, Illinois, to observe six BGSU supply chain students make presentations about their valuable internship experiences. Also on hand for the presentations were two BGSU supply chain alums, Jamie Hoke and Jessica O’Keefe, who work at John Deere. Hoke is a Seeding Group Factory Supply Management Specialist in Davenport, Iowa, while O’Keefe is a Strategic Supply Management Specialist in North Carolina.

Besides Dr. Carr making an on-site visit, Dr. Jan Hartley and Dr. Bill Sawaya, Department of Management, traveled to Magna-Norplas Industries in Northwood for a presentation and Tom Siebenaler, Associate Director of the Business Career Accelerator, attended internship presentations at Marathon Petroleum Company in Findlay.
