Student Teams Encouraged to Apply to Supply Chain Case Competition

The BGSU Supply Chain Management Association is hosting the 3nd annual Supply Chain Management Institute (SCMI) case competition on Monday, February 10, 2014, from 3:00-5:00 pm in the College of Business, preceding the Supply Chain Management Institute dinner. By applying students can gain valuable experience, build their resume, and compete for cash prizes, including a $500 first place prize to be split among the winning team members!

The competition is open to all business majors and there are no fees or costs to compete. Teams of 2 to 4 students will analyze a supply chain case to be distributed on January 24, 2014. We ask that all cases notes and presentations are submitted in advance by 5 p.m. on February 7, 2014. No written report is required. The dress is business attire.

Teams will develop a 10-12 minute presentation that will be judged by teams of managers from various Supply Chain Management Institute companies. Teams will be assigned a presentation time between 3:00 and 5:00 pm on Monday, February 10.

To apply or for questions, contact Dr. Jan Hartley, professor of management and director of SCMI before January 22. Get your teams together!
