Students obtain their BG1 Card at BG1 Card Services after they have established a BGSU email account and registered for classes. For most new students, this occurs during the orientation process. The non-refundable $25 fee for all new or replacement cards will be posted to the student's Bursar Account. Faculty/Staff obtain their card after they have been entered as an employee by Human Resources, established a BGSU email account, and obtained the completed department authorization form to cover the $25 fee for the initial card. The non-refundable $25 fee for replacement cards is the responsibility of the individual and will be posted to the faculty or staff member’s Bursar Account. Now accepting cash, check, American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa to pay for new BG1 Cards!

One of the following forms of identification is required to get a new or replacement BG1 Card:
         A valid State-issued driver's license with photo.
         A valid State-issued photo ID card
         A valid passport with photo
         A valid military ID card

Your BG1 Card is used to verify your identity and to complete financial transactions. You should guard your BG1 Card like cash or a credit card in order to keep it safe and secure at all times.

You will be charged a fee to replace a lost/stolen card therefore we encourage you to take good care of your card.

Please DO NOT:
        lend your card to other people
        mark or bend your card
        punch holes in your card
        scratch the magnetic strip on your card
        use your card as an ice scraper

Does your BGSU department need nametags or photo ID badges? BG1 Card Services is able to produce a variety of name tags or departmental badges to meet your needs. Standard BGSU Name Tag: $5.00 each

Custom Name Tag: $5.00 each + $50.00 one time set up fee.

Custom Photo ID Badge: $5.00 each + $50.00 one time set up fee.
