Michael Weber Joins the Department as new Faculty Member

Michael Weber, currently Associate Professor of Philosophy at Yale University, has accepted a tenure-track position at Bowling Green State University. He will start at Bowling Green in the Fall of 2008. Michael earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1998. His research focuses on Ethics, Rational Choice Theory, and Philosophy of the Emotions. His publications include "The Resilience of the Allais Paradox," Ethics 109 (1998): 94-118 and "The Motive of Duty and the Nature of Emotions: Kantian Reflections on Moral Worth," Canadian Journal of Philosophy 33 (2003): 183-202. The department is most pleased that he has decided to join us.
