Christian comes to BG from The University of California at Davis, where he recently earned his Ph.D. Christian has already published in Ethics, perhaps the top journal for work in ethics and related areas. He was awarded the prestigious Charlotte Newcombe Dissertation Fellowship for the 2003-4 year and he was also awarded the Michael V Wedin Teaching Award in 2003 by the UC, Davis philosophy department. The department is most pleased that he has decided to join us.

Shoemaker and Wall Awarded Rockefeller Fellowships

The department is pleased to announce that both David Shoemaker and Steven Wall independently have been awarded year long fellowships at the The Center for Ethics and Public Affairs for 2007-8. These fellowships are prestigious and competitive and the department is quite proud of this well-earned success by David and Steve. Previously Steven Wall and Daniel Jacobson have been awarded year-long Laurence S. Rockefeller Fellowships at The Center for Human Values at Princeton University.
