The General Studies Writing department has recognized excellence in student writing with the awards listed below.

Donna Nelson-Beene Excellence in Research Writing Award

This award is given for the best argumentative-synthesis research essay written in GSW 1120: Academic Writing. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge outstanding student work in GSW 1120 and to reward students for excellence in research-based writing.
