Professor of Chemistry/Director, Center for Photochemical Sciences
Details: Lead the Center for Photochemical Sciences in a manner that will expand its research and educational missions and enhance its national and international visibility. Develop new initiatives to foster collaborative research interactions among current Center members and external scientists. Identify strategies for new tenure-track faculty hires to complement and expand their current research strengths. Guide the review and revision of the curriculum of the Photochemical Sciences doctoral program. Maintain a vibrant and externally funded research program. A faculty appointment of the Full Professor level with tenure in the Department of Chemistry is anticipated. Salary is commensurate with peer institution levels and in keeping with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. Earliest anticipated starting date of employment is August 2014.
Qualifications: A doctoral degree in Chemistry or a related discipline. An excellent record of scholarly accomplishment and publication leading to national and international recognition in an area of the photochemical sciences. A demonstrated record of significant external funding and grantsmanship in support of research efforts. Effective leadership skills.
