Facilities
The TCOM Department at BGSU takes pride in providing
its students with the best possible educational experience.
Our facilities and equipment allow for hands-on training
that mirrors today's workplace. Students work one-on-one
with faculty, staff, and industry professionals inside
the classroom as well as on location to achieve a better
understanding of how to properly use equipment for optimal
performance.

Audio Production Facilities
|
Production Facilities provide
computers, mixing boards, and reel equipment.
These facilities are available for student assignments,
radio production, and news and sports promos.
Classic production methods are taught in conjunction
with today's cutting edge technology.

Radio Facilities
|
|
WFAL-AM Radio is a professionally
run, commercial radio station on the campus
of BGSU. Students are able to work at WFAL on
a volunteer basis as a way to gain more experience
as they grow in the field.
WBGU-FM
Radio is a professionally run non-profit
radio station on the campus of BGSU. The format
provides a variety of music, sports, and news.
Students volunteer at WBGU in a variety of capacities.
Bowling
Green Radio News Organization (BGRNO) trains
students to be proficient in researching, writing,
and announcing radio news. Computers and AP
newsfeed provide current information and two
radio stations provide the outlet to the students
and community.

Television Facilities
|
|
Television Facilities give students and up-close and
personal look at cameras, lighting, editing, and
producing. Coursework and organizations such as
BG24
News foster creativity and advanced skills
in television production. Here students are able
to write scripts and stories to air on BG24 News
which airs regularly.

WBGU-PBS
|
|
WBGU-PBS
is a non-profit, full service television facility
serving Northwest Ohio. Students can work in
dozens of paid positions and gain valuable experience
for the future. Organizations such as VideoBank
use the WBGU-PBS studio for their productions.
