Events for Thursday, August 28
Registration Open for Cedar Point Bus Trip
Bus trip will be on Saturday, August 30th, from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. to Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH
Want to go to Cedar Point? Buy a discounted ticket (transportation included) at the Information Desk in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union by noon on Friday, August 29th. Limited tickets available! Go Bananas with the Learning Commons and the Library!
2:30 – 4:30 p.m., William T. Jerome Library
Here’s the scoop, we’re going bananas for Fall Welcome! University Libraries and the Learning Commons will serve banana splits at the main entrance of the Jerome Library. Students can also take part in a mini scavenger hunt inside the building and will be eligible for some sweet prizes.
BGSU CashCourse Crash Course
3 – 4 p.m., Moseley Hall, Room 205
BGSU students have an incredible amount of FREE money management resources right at their fingertips! During this workshop, students will learn how to access and use the BGSU Cash Course online curriculums and resources available through the SMMS website. Sponsored by the office of Student Money Management Services.

Have general advising questions? Not sure about some of the BGSU academic policies and procedures? Stop by and chat with BGSU advisors from various colleges or program areas and get pointed in the right direction to success. These sessions are meant to help with quick, simple advising questions – Make sure you schedule an appointment with your college advisor if you have any major questions or concerns! Alpha Phi Omega is a national co-ed service fraternity. Join us for a night of playing games, eating snacks and making cards for Miracle Children of Mercy Children’s Hospital with brothers of Alpha Phi Omega.

Taking a Stand for Change

Rise up Falcons; it’s time to take a stand for change! The SAAFE Center (Sexual Assault Awareness for Empowerment) is offering a workshop that explores the ways in which BGSU students can be part of the change in reducing sexual assault. Join us as we educate students on the first steps you can take to empower and help your peers.
